Happy Weekend, Y'all!

I'm running out the door ...
Headed out for a night of shopping ...
Already made sure I can live without food for awhile just in case Retail Therapy gets the best of me :)

So there will not be a long, extended post today. Just enjoy the pretties I have been eying today.

It's Ok!

Its Ok Thursdays

IT'S OK ...
... to whack off all your hair just because you need to feel cute
[even if you know the boyfriend isn't gonna love it]

... to spend the extra from your last paycheck at the walmart photo printing center because your printer is MIA

... to LOVE the chicken salad from a hole in the wall cafe in downtown Athens, GA so much so that you budget for it once a week and then get sad when you have to spend that money on unexpected bills.

... to cry over an ex-boyfriend who has seriously screwed up his life.

... to miss a cousin you can barely remember.

... to eat mini Twix bars for lunch because you forgot to actually pack your lunch and you're broke.

... to want to take a nap in the middle of the work day ...

FOOTBALL

Fabulous Fall Blog Challenge

I'm so excited about this topic.
It means I get to dedicate a whole post to my Dawgs!
I'm a Georgia girl born and bred.
And I bleed Red & Black.
Even during our absolute WORST seasons, I'm a diehard GA Bulldog fan.

This week my Dawgs take on Mississippi State!!
It should certainly be an interesting game.
And next week I will be sitting in a sea of orange screaming at the top of my lungs at my baby Dawgs!!
GOOOOOO Dawgs, Sic' Em, Woof Woof Woof Woof :)

Fall Travel/Road-trips/Vacations

Fabulous Fall Blog Challenge

My sister lives in Tennessee so I spend a good deal of my Fall trekking to the mountains.
In two short weeks, I'm headed to Knoxville for the GA/Tenn game.

Then I'll be in Jefferson City/Dandridge, TN to spend a little time with my hardworking/student teaching sibling.

A porch view from our April trip :)

A side view. Imagine how beautiful this will be with the leaves changing colors!

The rainbow we were lucky enough to catch during an April shower.

The cabin we stay at. This picture does NOT do it justice.

My grandparents on the front porch. Isn't this adorable?!?

I do believe, however, that after that I will try to be a homebody until December ... what? I said TRY.

Fall Recipes

Fabulous Fall Blog Challenge

For me fall is all about warm foods ....
Of course with my busy schedule it's hard to get a real meal.
However, my favorite "have to wait till cooler weather" meal.
And the one my sister is already begging for is White Chicken Chili.
I've never been a real fan of regular chili, but I tried this alternative recipe and fell in LOVE!!
It's super easy and SOOOOOO goood.

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 pound skinless, boneless chicken breast, cut into cubes
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 (10.75 ounce) can Campbell's® Condensed Cream of Chicken Soup (Regular or 98% Fat Free)
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 pouch Campbell's® Dry Onion Soup and Recipe Mix
  • 2 (15 ounce) cans white kidney beans (cannellini), rinsed and drained
  • Shredded Cheddar cheese
  • Sliced green onion

Directions

  1. Heat oil in saucepan. Add chicken and chili powder and cook until browned, stirring often.
  2. Add chicken soup, water and soup mix. Heat to a boil. Cover and cook over low heat 10 minutes.
  3. Add beans and heat through. Garnish with cheese and onions.

What?!?! An Award?!?!?

I'm a little slow, but I'm so excited to receive this award from Holly! I've never gotten a blog award before so I'm ecstatic. And honestly, this has just made my day!!! Ok ok enough of that going on and on .... let's get to the award.

There are a few rules that I must follow before I can pass this award onto some pretty awesome bloggers out there.
Rule #1: Thank the person who gave you the award and link back to them in your post.

Rule #2: Share seven things about yourself:

1. As a child, I had an overactive imagination. I once wrote a "I'm Thankful For ..." list that involved "my chickens". My parents both assured me I never had any chickens.

2. My love for diamonds and the fact that I am broke often cause internal conflicts in my life.

3. The most beautiful place I've ever visited was Zion National Park in Utah.

4. I recently moved from the country where my next door neighbors were cows to a duplex in a more residential area. I'm still adjusting.

5. I love fresh GA shrimp and could eat those little buggers all day long every day.

6. I only like the color orange in moderation and never when it is associated with football.

7. I'm always looking for excuses to spend hours on end out in the sunshine. [Side note: I also avidly search for excuses to take a nap ...]

Rule #3: Pass the award on to 15 bloggers that you have recently discovered:

I am truly sorry ....

Day 47 =  Bad Day.

I admitted to PB that I am a screw up. Of course I admitted this via snail mail so I get to live with uncertainty for days on end. I have been cautious on this blog. Maybe a bit too cautious. But I am willing to freely admit that I have always been a bit of a player. I was the girl who thought she would never settle down with just one person. I have never been able to commit. PB changed all that. Until he left ... then the distance triggered my low self-esteem. The lack of communication made me seek approval and admiration from others. Until I broke down. I swear this break down was one half broken heart and one half shame. I'm so unproud of what I have done and who I am at this moment. I am broken, and I am guilty. I am praying for forgiveness and am honestly not expecting to receive it. I know PB loves me and loves me unconditionally, but even that never ending never changing love may not be enough to salvage our bruised and broken relationship. I don't mean to be dramatic. I'm just hurt and angry with myself. I don't like the girl I have become. I want the opportunity to start over and be the girlfriend PB deserves. And now I'm waiting patiently to see if PB will give me that chance ....

Fall TV shows

Fabulous Fall Blog Challenge

This is my absolute favorite! I swear I literally drive 20 miles to get to a TV to watch this show live. I'm a bit obsessed. I just love the people and the routines and even the judges. It's such a good mix! And of course I'm totally in love with Fluffy!!!!

I love this show! It's my primetime drama. I love the Bravermans! It's such a witty, fun cast dealing with real-life situations. It's totally relatable and more like reality than any "reality show".

I'm excited about this new show. I'm pretty sure it's going to be added to my fall TV lineup. Did anyone see the premiere? [I'm always behind since I don't actually have a TV.] Was it any good? I seriously hope this one doesn't disappoint. What little girl hasn't dreamed of being a flight attendant?!?!

I stumbled across this show last night. And I love it. Whitney cracks me up! Maybe I'm just a weirdo, but I find this show totally hilarious!

What are you watching this fall?
I'm always looking for cool new shows to keep me away from the Redbox!!

Things You Are Looking Forward To For Fall ...

Fabulous Fall Blog Challenge

  • Cooler weather which means I can finally wear my new yellow cardigan!!
  • Attending the GA - TENN game. A speck of Red in a sea of Orange!
  • Spending 5 days in TN with the sibling and 'rents.
  • My first ever Halloween party at my new job!
  • Trick or Treaters (one of the perks of having a house in a neighborhood instead of the boondocks!)
  • Sibling seeing my house for the first time :)
  • Miracles .....
  • Colorful Leaves
  • And who knows what other surprises await!!!

I fell in love and lost all my inhibitions.

1. Dream job...realistic and completely unrealistic.
Honestly I'd love to be anything where I could set my own schedule. I love what I do, but I would like a little more flexibility. Unrealistically, I want to be a trophy wife.

2. Do you fart in front of your significant other?
PB says that is the sign of true love :)
Admittedly I'm not necessarily a big farter, but if I feel the need to let one rip then it doesn't matter if I'm alone or with PB I'm going to release that pressure ;] And you better believe there is no shame in my game. I ain't denying that sucker. I'm pretty dawggone proud of my silent but deadly bombs!

3. What's the furthest you've ever traveled from home? How far and where was it?
Nevada, I do believe. Good ol' family road trip. Kind of a cross country deal for this Southern girl.

4. How do you celebrate birthday for your kids? Family only or friends? ... Alternate for those without kiddos: How did you celebrate birthdays as a kid?
No kids. And as a kid, I always planned my own parties. They were usually of the sleepover variety!

5. Fave thing about fall?
Jeans & Sleeves [a whole lot less shaving going on! especially since I'm masquerading as a single woman at the moment. my hairy pits will keep all those boys away ;)]

1.   The best thing I did all week was  get a ding dang compliment out of Twelve. Heck yeah this girl can bake!

2.  Letters from PB   make me super happy.

3.  Pets are definitely in my future.

4.  My sweet boyfriend  is the best thing about my life.

5.  With the cooler weather I am looking forward to  jeans, boots, bonfires, corn mazes, pumpkins, & hot chocolate ...

6.  Something that's on my "wish list" right now is   a pair of short black boots ...

7.  This weekend I am going to  hitch a few rides with the parental units! yay for gas saving measures.

Photobucket

 1. When I was little, all I wanted was a big fairytale wedding ...
2. I always want to love to clean my house but no matter how hard I try, I don’t.
3. The best part of it all was that I fell in love and lost all my inhibitions ...
4. The mist around the mountains makes me remember better times ...

It's Ok!

Its Ok Thursdays

IT'S OK ...

- to love my boyfriend but be thankful for the time apart.

- to hate going to wedding/baby showers as a single woman.

- to drive 20 miles out of the way to watch DWTS live on Monday nights instead of on Hulu on Tuesdays ;)

- to not want the traditional "life plan" that all my friends want [marriage, babies, happily ever after ...]

- to not refill the candy jar EVERY time my co-workers empty it.

- dance around like a 2 year old every time my mailbox spits out a letter from PB.

- to inform PB that I will wear heels at our wedding even if that makes me taller than him ...

- to spend at least a dollar a day in the vending machine downstairs .. [Yes, Mr. Budget, I know that's not really ok.]

- to be totally embarrassed in an adult toy shop ...

- to hate that Blogger just ate my original post!

- to not wash dishes for a week because I walk in the door in time to go to bed every night.

- to be SUPER excited to be really baking for the first time in my new house.

- to rely solely on Twelve's football knowledge to make my weekly picks in our college football pool.

- to not have won said pool ... ONCE!!!

- to question Twelve's football knowledge.

- to want a pair of kickbutt red heels more than ANYTHING.

- to miss PB dearly.

- to LOVE this link up!!

Fall Decorating

Fabulous Fall Blog Challenge

I am such a slacker!!! Fall is upon us, and I have exactly ZERO fall decorations up :(
You better believe I'm raiding my mama's attic this weekend and hitting up the craft stores.
So, here are some of my Pinterest inspirations
[I swear my blog is turning into my outlet to show off new found Pins ....]

^^^ Subway Art is one of my favorite decorating tools. So simple and adorable!!

^^^^ This is a must do when the leaves FINALLY start turning colors down here ...

^^^^ Ooooh even I could do this!

^^^ I love little pumpkins! And the ribbons are a classy touch :)

^^^ Candy Corn! A great cheap decorating tool :)

^^^ Now those are my kind of pumpkins!!

^^ My poor front door is begging for a wreath like this. I guess I better hit up the craft store in a hurry!

^^ Or I might go this route. What a cute non-traditional "wreath"!

^^^^ A DOORMAT!!! Yup, Bed, Bath, & Beyond is calling my name!
