Avril: I do love you!

Thursday :)

And I am driving my new car down the interstate as you read this ...

which means this post will be less of my every day ramblings.

and more of an actual post about something real ....

Or maybe not so much.

Back in my punk[ish] days I was a huge Avril Lavigne fan!

When I was in high school, it was super cool to be an Avril fan. 

At least, in my tight knit group of friends that was the case.

Over the years, my image has changed and so has my taste in music.

Last year, one of my teenagers mentioned Avril as her favorite music artist.

My jaw hit the floor. My first response was, "She's still around?!?!"

And then I was just in shock that these teens liked an artist that I used to like!

About a week ago another of my teenagers posted the following lyrics as her FB status.

"All those CrAzY things we did, didn't think about it just went with it. Your always there your everywhere, but right now I wish you were here Damn Damn Damn what'd I do to have you Here Here Here ... i wish you were here ..."

Now normally I try to stay away from teenage loves, but these lyrics fit my feelings perfectly.

So, I hit Ctrl+C and then Ctrl+V right into Google! And lo and behold, Google proclaimed that this song was sung by none other than Avril Lavigne herself. I was shocked. And then I realized that I never quit loving Avril. We were just on a break :)
